Overview:
It's Basic is a Turkish denim brand entering the Dutch market with ambitions to position itself between fast-fashion accessibility and premium quality. The brand needed more than a website, it needed a complete market entry strategy that would resonate with Dutch consumers who value practicality, quality, and honest pricing. We were tasked with defining the brand's identity from the ground up, understanding a competitive and nuanced market, and building a digital foundation that could support both immediate launch and long-term growth.

Challenges:
The Dutch denim market is highly competitive, with established players across every price segment, from budget brands like H&M and Primark to premium names like G-Star and Nudie Jeans. It's Basic had to carve out a clear position without existing brand recognition or local market presence. The challenge was threefold: first, to define a positioning strategy that felt authentic and defensible in a crowded landscape; second, to translate that strategy into a functional, conversion-focused Shopify store; and third, to build a go-to-market plan that could guide the brand's first two years of growth with clarity and confidence.




Conclusion:
We delivered a full brand positioning framework grounded in market research, competitive analysis, and cultural consumer insights. It's Basic was positioned as "Everyday Premium", offering trend-conscious denim with durability and honest pricing, targeting Dutch women aged 25–40 who value both style and substance. We designed and developed a responsive Shopify website optimized for mobile-first shopping, built a 2-year marketing roadmap with monthly and weekly breakdowns, and launched ongoing content production and Meta ads management to drive awareness and conversions. The result: a brand ready to scale with strategic clarity and a digital home that grows with it.
